Click Here To View Memorial Video Jonathan David Horton, 32, of Iona, passed away February 15, 2015, at his home. He was a beloved uncle, brother, and son. Jon was born February 15, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Allen Dolph Horton and Ramona Ann Simpson Horton. He grew up and attended schools in Iona, and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Idaho State University, majoring in Biology. On February 14, 2008, he married Kelsey Hobbs in Iona, Idaho. They were later divorced. Jon made his home in Iona, where he worked as a wood finisher and a house painter. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he served as a Sunday School teacher. He was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and other outdoor activities. Jon is survived by his father, Allen Dolph Horton of Iona, ID; mother, Ramona Ann Simpson Horton of Iona, ID; sister, Angela Marie (Brett) Youngstrom of Rigby, ID; brother, James Jeremy Horton of South Jordan, UT; brother, Matthew Allen (Micaela) Horton of Vicenza, Italy; brother, Nicholas Scott (Carly) Horton of Orem, UT; He was preceded in death by his sister, Kerstan Marie Horton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Iona LDS 12th Ward, 5169 Denning Avenue, with Bishop Michael Klingler officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.

Ammon Road, and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial in the Iona Cemetery.
