Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, Jon Jayson McKenzie, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 7, 2012, at his home of complications of a brain tumor. He was under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Jon was born March 30, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jay Wilford McKenzie and Alice Christina Bolinder McKenzie. He grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.
On May 5, 1979, he married Eileen Wallace in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 5, 2007. Jon worked at the Central Distribution Center for Basic American Foods for 33 years.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jon served as a ward clerk and as a Nursery Leader. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America in his youth and earned his Eagle Scout award. Jon enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, bicycling, woodworking, gardening, and taking trips to Disneyland.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Boulevard Ward, 351 West 14th Street, with Bishop Scott Davis officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
