Jolene Sessions Peterson, 48, of Ammon, passed away at her home January 8, 2011 from cancer. She was under the care of Creekside Home Health and Hospice.
She was born October 28, 1962 in Idaho Falls, to Roy Dale Sessions and Odetta Crow Sessions. She grew up in the area and graduated from Bonneville High School.
On October 8, 1988, Jolene married Eric Guy Peterson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they have four daughters.
Jolene loved working with and caring for children. She conducted a daycare out of her home and helped to raise many kids over a 15 year period. The kids love her.
Jolene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a primary teacher and a nursery leader. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include:
Mother: Odetta Sessions of Idaho Falls, ID;
Husband: Eric and their daughters Cortney, Chantell, Megan, and Kaitlin Peterson of Idaho Falls;
Brothers: Arlen Sessions of Salmon, Nolan Sessions of Oregon, Bryan (Suzette) Sessions of Salt Lake, Eric (McCall) Sessions of Cyprus, TX;
Sisters: Lynette Sessions of Idaho Falls, and Lorraine (Nathan) Curtis of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Dale.
Funeral services will held be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Idaho Falls Ammon 5th Ward with Bishop Randy Collins conducting. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
