Johnathan Hindman

Johnathan Frank Hindman, 51, of Idaho Falls, ID, and Jackson, WY, passed away October 1, 2021.

John was born to Delbert and Susan Varley Hindman in Jackson, WY, on June 24, 1970. He graduated from Jackson Hole High School in 1989.  He continued his education at University of Wyoming and graduated from Lamar Community College in Lamar, CO, in 1992.

John became an esteemed Reining and Cow Horse Trainer and competitor which took him to live in several different places including Georgia, Texas, Wyoming and Idaho.  With these skills, he trained and showed champion horses in the NRHA and NRCHA, and trained many horses for his clients to have success on in the non-pro classes – John did this for over 30 years.  The last few years, John took a break from horses and drove long haul Over the Road – he enjoyed seeing the country on his drives.

A passion for sports and a memory for trivia, John could easily recall who had what play in what game and all the player’s statistics.  If it was a Wyoming Cowboy, Denver Bronco, Colorado Rockies, Nascar or Denver Nuggets, he rarely missed a game or a race whether in person, televised or on air.

John is survived by his parents, Del & Susan Hindman of Idaho Falls, Idaho, sisters, Amy Hindman of Wilson, WY, and Raelyn (Willy) Gould of Wickenburg, AZ; and nieces, Bailey and Ashlyn Chamberland of Wilson, WY.

A celebration of life is planned for Summer 2022.
