John Wotring

JOHN W. WOTRING IDAHO FALLS, ID - John W. Wotring, 77, of Idaho Falls, died May, 15, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1926 in Terra Alta, West Virginia to Paige Robert Wotring and Agnes Madeline Watkins Wotring . He grew up and attended school in West Virginia. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force and was discharged in 1946. He married Jean Dearden August 1, 1959 in Elko, Nevada. He worked for the Baltimore Ohio Rail Road and was an instrumentation mechanic in Trona, California. He also worked for BISCO and for Phillips Petroleum for 10 years from which he retired in 1988. The last 40 years he has lived in Idaho Falls. During his later life he spent his winters in Arizona where he was a member of the Welton, VFW. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed following the stock market in his later years. Surviving are: Son: Lee P. (Gwynneth) Wotring, St. Maries, ID Daughter: Sheryl Suchoski, St. Maries, ID Son: John W. (Novella) Wotring, Weldon, CA Brother: Donald Richard Wotring, MD 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, He was preceded in death by his wife Jean, his parents and one brother, Bob. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2003, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Bonneville County Veterans Team will provide military rites.
