JOHN S. WORK
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- John Stuart Work, 90, of Mt. Home,
Arkansas, died March 25, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center
in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was born May 25, 1913, in Chicago, Illinois, to George
Alexander Work and Cecile Crouse Work. He attended schools in the Chicago
area, and graduated from Armour Institute of Technology. He had lived
in Evergreen Park, Illinois, for 35 years, and in Mt. Home, Arkansas for
25 years.
He married Jean H. Allen, June 28, 1941, in Valparaiso,
Indiana. He was the Chief Chemical Engineer for the Crane Company from
1935 to 1976.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church,
which he attended while living in Arkansas. He volunteered for the Local
Bread Basket.
He enjoyed working with wood, and was also a clockmaker.
His loving family and friends will not forget his spirit;
surviving are his daughter, Marion Work (John) Buzzell, daughter-in-law,
Hannelore Work McCloskey, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his son, George A. Work.
The family will hold private family services in Idaho
Falls at a later date.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral
Home.
