John Hubert Wold, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 17, 2015, at his home. He was under the care of Onesource Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.
John was born February 24, 1947, in Swansea, South Carolina, to Lionel Keith Wold and Mary Jane Jackson Wold. He grew up in Idaho Falls where he attended Riverside Elementary, O.E. Bell Junior High, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. John served for the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded and received two purple hearts.
On December 30, 1965, he married Christine Colleen Rhoades in Santa Ana, California. To this union were born four children, Rachãel, Phillip, Darcey and Christopher “Critter”. John and Christine made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he owned and operated John Wold Specialty Trades, with his daughter and two sons.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John enjoyed attending the Lima 3/5 Marine Crops Reunions annually and spending time with his grandchildren.

brother, David (Roberta) Wold of Pocatello, ID,
sister, Mazie Wold of Idaho Falls, ID,
sister, Vicki (Mark) Melrose of Fallon, NV,
sister, Terri (Daryl) Moon of Fallon, NV,
sister, Kathryn (Jay) Hayes of Idaho Falls, ID,
sister, Nancy Wold of Fallon, NV.
16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, both visitations at Wood’s.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
