JOHN KATRI
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- John Phillip Katri, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 29, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 30, 1917, in Ferndale, California, to Joseph Katri and Clothilda Minetta Katri. He graduated from Ferndale High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II with the Bushmasters 158th Combat Team.
He married Bettie Krieg in Fortuna, California. They made their home in Eureka, California, where they raised their two sons. He was self employed as an electrical contractor. He was a member of the IBEW union for 60 years. Bettie preceded him in death.

Son: John (Lenore) Katri, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Dennis Katri, Eureka, CA
Sister: Rose Ambrosini, Ferndale, CA
Sister: Marie Stone, Napa, CA
5 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank and Ernest, and his wife Bettie.
Private family memorial services will be held.

Lenore and family, I was saddened to read about Mr. Katri. I did not know him, but I know you. I am sure he was a wonderful man. Please know I care and extend my thoughts of sympathy and love to all of you at this tender time. Remember memories are the legacy of love.

Sorry to hear about Phil's passing. I remember him coming to Mom and Dad's house to make sausage every year.
