JOHN KATRI IDAHO FALLS, ID -- John Phillip Katri, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 29, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1917, in Ferndale, California, to Joseph Katri and Clothilda Minetta Katri. He graduated from Ferndale High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II with the Bushmasters 158th Combat Team. He married Bettie Krieg in Fortuna, California. They made their home in Eureka, California, where they raised their two sons. He was self employed as an electrical contractor. He was a member of the IBEW union for 60 years. Bettie preceded him in death. Survivors include: Son: John (Lenore) Katri, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Dennis Katri, Eureka, CA Sister: Rose Ambrosini, Ferndale, CA Sister: Marie Stone, Napa, CA 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank and Ernest, and his wife Bettie.
