OBITUARY INFORMATION John Johnson John Thomas Johnson, 79, of Island Park, passed away on November 17, 2012. He was born on May 7, 1933, in Rexburg, Idaho to Walfred Johnson and Eva Marie Fox Johnson. He attended Rexburg schools and graduated from St. John’s Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin. John attended two years of college at the University of Idaho and graduated from Idaho State University in Pharmacy in 1956. He married Shirley Vorous on August 30, 1953 in Clarkston, Washington. John served as an officer in the Army Medical Corp for two years and five years in the reserve. He operated Johnson Drug and Hardware for over 20 years in Rexburg and was head of Ferguson Laboratory for Diet Center for 10 years. In 1990, he retired and moved to Henry’s Lake in Island Park. His greatest love was the World War II fighter airplane restoration, especially his P51. John is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Rozalynn L. Woods and Andrea L. Tickner; and four grandchildren, Jacquelyn Woods, Caroline Woods, Tyson Tickner and Trey Tickner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. At his request, he will be cremated. A family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bonneville County Humane Society, 2450 Hemmert, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
