John James

John Earl James slipped the bounds of mortality on December 7, 2017, following a prolonged illness, at the age of 60. John was born in Logan, Utah, on August 6, 1957, to parents John A. and Zelda James who moved to Idaho Falls in 1959, thereafter moving to Downers Grove, Illinois. The family returned to Idaho Falls in 1963, where John grew to adulthood. He attended grade schools in the Idaho Falls area, graduating from Skyline High School in 1975, after which he expanded his education at Boise State College and Idaho State University. John was very active in the Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle. The majority of his employment was in the areas of project management, quality assurance and contract administration. He later worked with his brother Tim in cabin and home construction. His outgoing personality and pleasing attitude yielded many friends and associates. His kind and generous heart and unworldly prospect made him a very unique individual in many ways. His gentle ways and constant desire to help his parents and family will be sadly missed. John is survived by his parents, John and Zelda; brothers Daniel (Kristy), Michael (Maureen), Tim and sister JoAnna (David) Almgren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the Taylor Cemetery.
