John "Jack" "Jack" Bailey

John Israel “Jack” Bailey, 98, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away September 17, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of causes incident to age. Jack was born October 28, 1914, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Israel Bailey and Irene Miller Bailey. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon, living in the Idaho Falls area for 98 years. On October 10, 1937, he married Golda Hanks in Shelley, Idaho. Jack and Golda made their home in Idaho Falls, where Jack worked as a farmer and dairyman, and as a school bus driver. Golda passed away on November 1, 2001. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Jack is survived by Son: Brent (Shannon) Bailey of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Judith Gilmartin of Spokane, WA; Sister: Beverly Hellekson of Portland, OR; Five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, at Ammon Cemetery.
