John "Jack Isaacs" Isaacs

John Tyler “Jack” Isaacs, 76, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from heart complications. He was born March 7, 1935 in Ammon, Idaho to Joseph Alvin Isaacs and Ora Blanche Tyler Isaacs. Jack grew up and attended schools in the Ammon area and graduated from Bonneville High School. He continued his education at Idaho State University and took business management and electrical courses. On December 12, 1953, Jack married Donna Mae Caudle in Idaho Falls, and together they raised five children. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jack worked as an electrical engineer for Basic American Foods. He also worked in other various fields, including: truck driver, logger, farmer, rancher, miner, and a self-employed photographer. He was a member and contributor to the National Rifle Association, the Cedar Hills Guns Club, and GPAA. Jack enjoyed prospecting, mining, hunting, fishing, dancing, singing, photography, and flying. Jack’s survivors include: Wife, Donna Isaacs of Blackfoot, ID; Daughter, Kim Isaacs (Klar) Werth of Blackfoot, ID; Son, John Christopher (Holly) Isaacs of St. Anthony, ID; Daughter, Karen Sue Isaacs (Haven) Werth of Blackfoot, ID; Son, Randall Kirk (Anita) Isaacs of Blackfoot, ID; Daughter, Kelli Jean (Donald Sorter) Isaacs of Atomic City, ID; 16 Grandchildren; & 17 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Robert Glen (Jean) Isaacs of Idaho Falls, ID; and Sister, Mickey (Owen)Briggs of Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters: Eunice, Beulah, Jean, and Betty and five brothers: Chester, Porter, LaVern, Larry, and Bill. A visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue). There will be a private family service and burial to follow.
