John R. Hoopes - 12/20/2001 John R. Hoopes - 12/20/2001 JOHN R. HOOPES IDAHO FALLS, ID -- John Richard Hoopes, 17, of Idaho Falls, ID, died December 18, 2001, at his home. He was born June 18, 1984 to Mark Benjamin and Teresa Jean Thornton Hoopes in Idaho Falls. He attended Longfellow Elementary, Taylorview Junior High School and had attended Idaho Falls High School. He had worked for Slusser Wholesale and Outback Restaurant in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved music, fishing and camping with his father, enjoyed playing football and basketball in Jr. High School and loved watching his nephew, Daren. He had an honor and a strength that his family appreciated and reverenced. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, December 22, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS 15th Ward, (2051 South Emerson) with Bishop Charles A. Homer officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the John Hoopes Memorial Fund at U. S. National Bank, 330 Shoup Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. Donation slips may be picked up at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
