John Luke Holzmer, 37, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 26, 2015, at his home.
John was born May 12, 1977, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Mark Mathew Holzmer and Christine Manning Holzmer. He grew up and attended schools in Naperville, Illinois; Zion, Illinois; and Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended DeVry University in Phoenix, Arizona, and Idaho State University in Idaho Falls. He served as a Private in the United States Army.
On October 23, 1998, he married Jenina D. Sensabaugh in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They had a son, Michael Marcus Holzmer. They were later divorced. He married Brook L. Sharp on September 6, 2002. They were later divorced. John had worked as a Xerox printer customer service representative at Center Partners and an audio visual technician at Idaho State University. At the time of his death, he was working as a manufacturing manager at Hooker Tactical.
He enjoyed geology, computer technology, cooking, and shooting. He was a member of the American Legion.
John is survived by his

brother, Matthew Boyd (Marney) Holzmer of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother, Gregory Alan (Jaclyn) Holzmer of Mechanicville, NY;
sister, Emily Amanda Holzmer of Colorado Springs, CO;
grandparents, Nicholas J. (Katherine) Holzmer Jr. of Hobart, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Parkwood Ward, 395 - 2nd Street with Bishop Frew officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park, where Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
