Click Here To View Memorial Video John Michael “Johnny” Hathaway Jr., 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 13, 2014, at his home of natural causes. Johnny was born August 13, 1966, in Kittery, Maine, to John Michael Hathaway and Cheryle Smith Hathaway (now Starkweather). He grew up and attended schools in Missouri and graduated from Plato High School in Plato, Missouri. Johnny came to Idaho Falls eleven years ago. He was a GM Certified Mechanic as well as Briggs & Stratton Certified. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed drawing and working on things – cars, projects, anything he could do hands-on. Johnny is survived by his mother, Cheryle Starkweather of Terreton, ID, fiancee, Jennifer Jean Scott of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Ashley Scott of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Mikey Hathaway of Rigby, ID; sister, Misti (Larry) Garner of Terreton, ID, and their children, RayeAnna, Chery Marie, and Logan Garner of Terreton, ID, brother, Eric Hathaway of Virginia Beach, VA, sister, Anita Hathaway Rogers of Success, MO; brother, Dustin Hathaway of Houston, MO; and brother, Miki Hathaway of Plato, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, John Hathaway, stepfather, Ray Campbell, paternal grandparents Basil and MaryAnna Hathaway, and maternal grandparents, Gordon and Orelia Smith. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home.
