John Greene

John Kenneth Greene, age 83, of Idaho Falls, died January 17, 2015, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. Born May 28, 1931 in Greybull, Wyoming, John was the second of four children born to William D. and Zella B. (Forbes) Greene. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served aboard the submarines USS Sargo, USS Skate and the USS Seawolf. He loved to share his first-hand account of the submarine breaking through the ice at the north pole. After the Navy he spent a 27+ year career at the Idaho National Engineer Laboratory (INEL). He married Carol Joan Anderson in 1983. Carol passed away in 2012. Always a proponent of taking a positive attitude. "Right on the ragged edge of remarkable" was his favorite answer to "How are you doing?". Service will be held at a later date.
