Click Here To View Memorial Video John David Gamble, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away on April 9, 2015, at his home. He was born July 29, 1941, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John S. “Jack” Gamble and Cecil Irene Cook Gamble. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He later attended University of Idaho and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. John served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He married Nancy Kienlen on October 14, 1967, in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. On June 12, 1997, he married Dorothy Manning in Idaho Falls. He worked for the Idaho State Tax Commission. He was an avid skier and loved golf. He especially loved his family and spending time with them. John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors are: Wife: Dorothy Manning Gamble, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Jennifer (Jeremy) Marsden, Salt Lake City, UT Son: John Scott (Lindy) Gamble, Chillicothe, OH Sister: Margaret Nelson, San Diego, CA Sister: Nancy (Harold) Hansen, Oregon City, OR Sister: Jan Lang, Boise, ID Sister: Barbara (Joe) Bauer, Pittsburgh, PA 3 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Jeff Lang. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS 31st Ward (1165 Azalea) with Bishop Dennis Wahlquist officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
