JOHN W. COOLEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID - John William Cooley, 88, of Idaho Falls,
died May 19, 2005, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 27, 1917, in Shoshone, Idaho, to Charles
William Cooley and Emma Elizabeth Thorpe Cooley. He attended elementary schools
in Idaho and California, and graduated from High School in Ashton, Idaho.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He married Juanita Cloteal Williams September 17, 1937, in
Bozeman, MT. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in
1951. He worked as an Equipment Superintendent for Morrison-Knudsen Construction
company, from which he retired.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, running marathons, building
boats and fishing.

Daughter: Virginia (Jerry) Calley, Arvada, CO
Son: John (Susie) Cooley, Boise, ID
Daughter: JoLynne (Carlos) Pierce, Englewood, CO
Son: Curtis (Betti) Cooley, Littleton, CO
12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren .
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Fred and a sister,Elveretta
Kidder.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2005,
at the Idaho Falls LDS 22nd Ward, 1235 Juniper, with Bishop Dan Perkins officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge) and for one hour prior to services
Monday at the church.
Burial will be in Ashton-Pineview Cemetery where Military
Rites will be performed by the Fremont County Veterans, under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
