Joe Raymond Talbot, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 6, 2012, at his home.
He was born September 13, 1930, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Robert Talbot and Evelyn Livesay Talbot. He attended Santa Fe County Elementary and graduated from Los Lunas High School in 1948. In November of 1948 he joined the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1955.
On February 6, 1955, he married Ann Phillips at the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona where they both worked. She preceded him in death on November 10, 1982. Joe worked as a Tour Bus Driver at Grand Canyon National Park and Yosemite National Park. He drove bus for INEL for 35 years. He was awarded the INEL Bus Driver of the Year in 1990. With mileage of 1,314,754 miles accumulated, Joe was given the “Million Mile Award”.
Joe was an avid hockey supporter for his son, Steve. He was also a great neighbor to many who lived on St. Clair. He enjoyed playing pool, golf, reading, photography, and bowling.

Sister: Dorthy (Fat) Hobbs, New Mexico
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Effie, Doris, and Opal; and brothers, Bob and Arthur.
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the family residence (1432 St. Clair). Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard at 3 p.m. Saturday at the home.
