Joe Talamantez

Joe Robert Talamantez, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 19, 2019, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. Joe was born September 21, 1977, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Homer Joseph Talamantez and Rebecca Rene Talamantez. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Boy Scouts of America. He grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Joe had a passion for basketball and baseball. In his high school years he played football, basketball, and was on the swim team. When his condition worsened he managed the basketball and football team through the end of high school. He was given the opportunity to attend Down Under Football in Australia. Despite his obstacles it never stopped him. He even hiked himself to the top of Table Rock. Joe is survived by his loving mother, Rebecca Rene Talamantez of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Tammi (Brandon) Parke of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Wylie Talamantez of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Mindy (Travis) Biederstedt of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Lori (Brad) Clark of Mountain Home, ID, and sister, Katie (David) Quiñones of Pleasant Grove, UT. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Joseph Talamantez. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
