Joe Izzo

Joseph Edmund Izzo, 92, of Jackson, Wyoming, passed away April 20, 2024. He was under the care of his loving family.

Joe was born October 24, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, to Edmund Izzo and Mary Izzo. He grew up and attended schools in Zanesville, Ohio, and graduated from St. Thomas High School. He also attended Ohio State and served in the U.S. Army.

On June 13, 1954, he married Zita Amelia Engle in Lowell, Ohio. Joe and Zita made their home in Jackson, Wyoming. Joe created a management information system company (Joseph Izzo and Associates). With the support of Zita, they successfully owned the company for over 20 years.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church. Joe enjoyed spending time with Zita and his family. He loved the outdoors, taking camping trips with Zita, and having the evening glass of wine.

Joe is survived by his wife, Zita Izzo of Jackson, WY; son, Victor (Helen Mansfield) Izzo of Bonney Lake, WA; son, Daniel (Julie Twidwell) Izzo of The Dalles, OR; daughter, Ann (James Hazuka) Izzo of Murray, UT; son, Vince (Karen Hunt) Izzo of Canmore, AB; son, Tom (Sheryl May) Izzo of Kelly, WY; sister, Jeanne Izzo of Columbus, OH; brother, John Izzo of Thonotosassa, FL; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanna Thompson, and son, Ted Izzo.

Services will be held at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Jackson, Wyoming. Vigil May 21, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral May 22, 2024, at 11:00 am.
