Jode Ann Branson - 01/12/2003 Jode Ann Branson - 01/12/2003 JODE ANN BRANSON GRANT, ID -- Jode Ann Branson, 10, of Rigby, passed away at home with family on January 9, 2003, after a two-year battle with cancer. Jode was born May 23, 1992, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Joe and Lisa Ann Rice Branson. Jode attended schools in Ammon and was currently in fourth grade at Midway Elementary in Menan. Jode is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jode was also a member of The Girl Scouts of America and sold over a thousand boxes of Girl Scout cookies every year. Jode loved to ride her dirt bike and snow machine and always wanted to go faster. She picked out her number, which was 27, and applied it and a number of decals on her motorized toys. In 2001 she met super cross champion Jeremy McGrath. Jeremy and his crew spent time with her and gave her some signed souvenirs. It was an experience often talked about and described in detail. Jode also loved camping, fishing, driving grandpa's boat, playing football with her brothers, board games, making crafts with Mom, babies, visiting family and friends, and teasing everyone, especially Dad. On June 12, 2001, Jode and her family went on a family vacation to Disney World. The trip was made possible by the Make a Wish Foundation. Jode and her family spent eight wonderful days together doing whatever she wanted to do, staying at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, Florida. Jode was a true inspiration to everyone she met. Her courage and strength amazed everyone she knew. She was a true angel and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Branson. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon Tuesday, January 13, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 7th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop Brent Stout officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. Burial will be in New Sweden Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. At this time of your lives you will know the comfort of the Lord and his love for you and why he needed little Jode back in his arms again.
