Joanna Torp Barker, 86, of Ammon, passed away July 2, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.
Joanna was born July 6, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Bud and Hazel Torp. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
On December 7, 1955, she married Willard F. Storer Jr. In Idaho Falls. Together they had four children, Kathie, Peggy, Rodney, and Randy. They were later divorced.
On October 4, 1985, she married Robert "Harry" Barker in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Joanna and Harry made their home in Island Park, where they resided throughout their married life and raised their daughter, Kellie.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed campfires, huckleberry picking, a good bottle of wine, and being with her family.
Joanna is survived by her daughters, Peggy Mallow, and Kellie Barker; granddaughters, Christina (Dave) Shelley, Andrea (Robert) Mallow-Marsh, Amie (Victor) Albright; great-grandson, Tracyn (Kilee) Mallow, great-granddaughter, Michelle Mallow, great-granddaughter, Ray Lee Keating, and great-grandson, Donte (Trinity Pickett) Wessels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Barker; her parents, Bud and Hazel Torp; sons, Rod Storer, Randy Storer; daughter, Kathie Thompson; and brother, Carl Everett Torp Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, in Idaho Falls. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
