Joann (Peterson) Watson

JoAnn Watson, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 15, 2021, at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living Center.

JoAnn was born June 30, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph Basil Peterson and Myra Olney Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.

On March 26, 1971, she married Francis Willard Watson in Idaho Falls. JoAnn and Francis made their home in Salt Lake City, Utah, for 20 years before returning home to Idaho Falls.

She enjoyed spending time with her husband and her family, camping, going on razor rides, and working on genealogy.

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Francis Watson of Idaho Falls; son Joe (Michelle) Watson of Herriman, UT; daughter, Stephanie (Darrell) Burnside of Shelley, ID; son, Richard (Mindy) Watson of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Dave (Carole) Walters of Idaho Falls; grandchildren, Kevin Johnson, Cylee Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Amanda Johnson, Jasmine, Michael, Jamie, BreAnna, Cole, Bailey, Jordan, Sahrene, and Koda; great grandchildren, Embree Ann Johnson, Paiton, and Theodore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Myra Peterson, and sister, Fran McCarthy.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
