Joann Maureen (Judy) Anderson, age 88, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at her residence in Phoenix, Arizona.

Joann was born on January 10, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John and Janice Judy. She attended Bonneville High School in Ammon, where she showcased her musical talents by playing the clarinet, singing in the school choir, and performing both in a triple trio and as a soloist. Whether recounting everyday moments or spinning imaginative tales, she had a way of captivating everyone around her. She enjoyed a good-natured competition, especially in games of Pinochle or Chicken Foot, where her playful spirit shined through. Joann also nurtured her love of nature by actively participating in garden clubs during her years living on various military bases. Above all, her greatest joy came from the relationships she built, treasuring her friends and family with unwavering love.

Joann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph “Joe” Anderson; her parents, John and Janice Judy; her sister, Jeannine Judy; and her brother, John Judy. She is survived by her sons, Joe and Jon Anderson, and their families; her brother, Jeffrey Judy; as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
