Joan Pearl "JoAnn" Brammer Fry, 86, of Ammon, passed away May 18, 2018, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of Encompass Hospice.

JoAnn was born April 22, 1932, in Roberts, Idaho, to Robert Fredrick Brammer and Clesta Pearl Nebeker Brammer. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. She also graduated from a nursing program and became a LPN. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital. She enjoyed working with the Nuns.

On June 5, 1952, she married Alfred Edward Fry in Idaho Falls. To this union were born six children, Keith, Kathie, David, Don, Christine, and Kevin. JoAnn and Alfred made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where JoAnn worked was a homemaker and mother.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking and animals, especially her last dog Ruby.

JoAnn is survived by her son, Keith (Cherie) Fry of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kathie (Joe) Lindberg of Idaho Falls, ID; son, David Fry of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Don (Heide) Fry of Nampa, ID; daughter, Christine (Dane) Weber of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kevin (Lisa) Fry of Idaho Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Edward Fry, her parents, her granddaughter, Melissa Fry, sister Vivian Bush and a brother Gary Brammer.

The family would like to thank Dr. Leland Krantz and Dr. David Shrader for the many years they cared for her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Ammon LDS Tiebreaker Ward, 1100 Tiebreaker, with Brian Crouch officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.
