THORELL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Joan Sorensen Thorell, 81, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died August 22, 2002, at the Nathan-Adelson Hospice Center of congestive heart failure. She was born April 20, 1921 in Tucson, Arizona to Henry N. Sorensen and Elvera Neeley Sorensen. She lived in Teton, Idaho for 20 years, in Summit, New Jersey for 35 years, Camarillo, California for 6 years and Las Vegas, Nevada the last 20 years. She married Clinton Robert Thorell in 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, piano and drawing. Surviving are:Husband: Robert Thorell, Las Vegas, NVDaughter: Mozelle [Don] Neville, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Linda [Edward] Wolf, Hill Air Force Base, UTSon: Henry P. [Susan] Schlegel, Jr.Step-Daughter: Linnea Prefontain, Medway, Mass.Step-son: Eric (Susan) Thorell, Grand Forks, ND17 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her late husband Henry P. Schlegel, and a step-daughter, Jean Morgan. A Graveside Service will be at 11 .m. Thursday, August 29, 2002, at the Teton Cemetery.
