JOAN LARSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Joan Adele Christensen Larson, 65, of Idaho Falls, died May 22, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born July 15, 1941, in Driggs, Idaho, to Boyd Madsen Christensen and Frances Lucille Zink Christensen. She grew up in Ashton, Idaho, attending Ashton Elementary School and North Fremont High School. She married John Morris Larson October 21, 1960, in Ashton, Idaho, and their marriage was solemnized December 15, 1979, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Ashton, Pocatello and Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker and mother and, later, a secretary at Westside Elementary School. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as Young Women President, Relief Society President and in many other positions. She loved her family and attending any activity involving her children and grandchildren, was a caregiver to her 91-year- old mother, and enjoyed camping, reading and crocheting. Survivors include: Husband: John Larson of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Bryan (Sherri) Larson of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Angela Hadlock of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Kara (John) Archibald, Idaho Falls, ID Mother: Lucille Murri of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Reed (Yone) Christensen of Richardson, TX Brother: Tom (Nancy) Murri of Meridian, ID Brother: Gary (Judy) Christensen of Boise, ID Sister: Joyce (Bart) Carlson of Idaho Falls, ID 8 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her stepfather, a sister and two brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS Westview Ward, 2020 South Charlotte Drive, with Bishop Mark D. McKay officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday, May 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Tuesday 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at the church. I went to school with Joan in Ashton and we were good friends. We met John after he married Joan when we were living on the Farm in Lamont. John and Joan are the greatest people in the whole world and we are so sad we lost one of them. I last saw Joan at our high school reunion in Ashton a couple of years ago and she gave me a bad time when I didn't recognize who she was.
