Click Here To View Memorial Video Joan Stoddart Adamson, 82, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away August 9, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Joan was born December 30, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Stoddart and Ethel Severson Stoddart. She grew up and attended schools in Lincoln, and graduated from Ammon High School. She also attended Ricks College. In August 1950, she married Gene P. Adamson in Eureka, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 11, 1951. To this union were born five children, Craig, Shirley, Russell, Marie, and Alan. Joan and Gene made their home in Ririe. Joan learned to speak Spanish in her later adult years which helped her as an interpreter for District Seven Health Department. She was a member of The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed fly fishing and painting pictures. She was an avid skier for many years. Joan is survived by her son, Craig (Celeste) Adamson of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Shirley Gooden of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Marie Webster of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Alan (Amy) Adamson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Duane (Colleen) Stoddart of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Gloria (Doyle) Singleton of Idaho Falls, ID. 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene P. Adamson; son, Russell L. Adamson; two brothers, Bobby Stoddart and Jake Stoddart; and a sister, Toni Bowers. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
