Jimie Earl Powell

Jimie Earl Powell, 76, of Roberts, Idaho, passed away July 19, 2013, at his home, after a lingering illness. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Jimie was born June 29, 1937, in Hubbard, Texas, to Earl Powell and Buni Mae Pullin Powell. He attended school in Hubbard, and also attended Idaho State University. Jimie worked as a Machinist for Bucyrus Erie in Pocatello. On February 12, 1984, he married Kathleen Lydia Olson. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jimie is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kathleen; Step-daughter: Stacy (John) Curran of Idaho Falls, ID; Step-daughter: Monica Rhoades of Chubbuck, ID; Daughter: Robin (Dave) Barrett of Unionville, CT; Son: James Powell of Pocatello, ID; Son: Nathan (Colleen) Powell of Boise, ID; Son: Trevis (Kim) Powell of Pocatello, ID; He was preceded in death by his parents, two half-brothers, and one sister. Graveside Funeral Services will take place in Blooming Grove, Texas, at a later date. Burial will be in the Blooming Grove-Rose Hill Cemetery.
