James Edward Jordan, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 22, 2026, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.
Jim was born October 17, 1942, in Spokane, Washington, to Andrew Ivory Jordan and Lorna Delight Pitts Jordan. He grew up and attended schools in Spokane. He served as a Specialist in the United States Navy.
In 1961, he married Judith Ann Harlan, and then Karen Lynn Gebarowski in 1982. He married Janet Caroline Hansen on June 15, 1991, in St. Anthony, Idaho. He worked with law enforcement in Montana and Alaska. After moving to Idaho, he worked for Idaho Asphalt and at Wadell Reed as a financial planner.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an Elder’s Quorum teacher, home teacher, temple worker, and as an Education and Employment Specialist. He enjoyed dancing, golfing, collecting coins, and anything electronics.
Jim is survived by his son, James (Rebecca) Jordan of Kevin, MT; son, Mike (Jody) Gebarowski of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Matt (Amy) Gebarowski of Bend, OR; daughter, Debbie (Randy) Roeh of Auburn, WA; daughter, Cindy (M. Lee) Miller of St. Anthony, ID; daughter, Twila (Jerry) Pratt of Sugar House, UT; sister, Laura Eisenbarth; sister, Lorna Jordan; sister, Patricia Plumb; brother, Cory Redmond; sister, Sheila; sister, Myrna Burch; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Jordan; and daughter, Debbie Lyn.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery, 5644 W. 3rd S. Military Honors will be performed by the Rexburg VFW Post #3012 and Navy Honor Guard. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Teton Healthcare of Cascadia for the excellent care they provided Jim.
