Mary Jill Brady Groth, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully with her family beside her on March 24, 2016, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Jill was born April 26, 1939, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Murphy Brady and Marion Aull Brady. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in Art from the University of San Diego, California. She went on to earn an Elementary Education degree from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. On June 15, 1963, she married Michael Pembroke Groth in the University of San Diego Catholic Cathedral. To this union were born three children; Amy, Tim and Sean. Jill and Mike created many beautiful homes in Idaho Falls where Jill aspired as a teacher, a community member, an artist and a beloved friend. Jill was a warm and kind woman who dearly loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren to the end. She always put everyone first before herself and looked forward to the entire family coming home together to celebrate Christmas or Easter at the dinner table sharing stories and uniting in love. Jill was a woman who never quit and always encouraged others to do what they loved. She inspired creativity in every aspect of life and her family's lives. She was a spunky and courageous lady who was the true definition of strength and forgiveness. She was witty, beautiful and had an incredible warmth that made people feel special. She overflowed with love and passed on a shining light to her family that will carry on for generations to come. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and an active board member of the Eastern Idaho Art Museum. Jill is survived by her loving and wonderful husband of 53 years, Mike Groth of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Amy (Travis Will) Groth of Wenatchee, WA; son, Tim (Denise) Groth of Victor, ID; son, Sean (Erin) Groth of Bozeman, MT; brother, Jack (Karen) Brady of Layton, UT; brother, Jerry Brady of Boise, ID and grandchildren, Ashley, Sage Kai, Eden, Murphy, Liam and Emma. She was preceded in death by her father, James Murphy Brady and her mother, Marion Aull Brady. Services will be held at Holy Rosary Church at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 29, 2016, with Father Raul Covarrubias officiating. Burial procedures will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery immediately following the services at Holy Rosary. The family will meet with friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
