JESSIE LAKE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jessie Mahan Lake, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 5, 2007, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehab Center. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Jessie was born August 15, 1928, in Lindrith, New Mexico, to Fred Otis Mahan and Bessie Dye Mahan. She grew up and attended schools in Farmington, New Mexico. She married George Ray Lake February 1, 1948, in Farmington, New Mexico. They were later divorced. Jessie moved to Idaho in 1948 and has resided in the area for over 35 years. She was a mother and a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved knitting, gardening, raising plants and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: Son: George (Lori) Lake, Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Bailey Lake, Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Lynn Lake, Rexburg, ID; Son: Acel (Susan) Lake, Rexburg, ID; Brother: Ralph (Shirley) Mahan, Durango, CO; Sister: Bonnie Mahan, Farmington, NM; 17 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a son. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Major James Goodwin of the Idaho Falls Salvation Army officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home.
