I knew Jessica Mendez. Jessica was a gifted intelligent individual. She had the world and a full productive life ahead of her. I was impressed by her intelligence and sensitivity. She was an unique individual. I will miss her and wish she would have given herself more time but I realize that I was not in her shoes. I have benefitted from knowing her in a special way.

Hello, I was Jessica's "staff" from the Idaho Youth Ranch. While she was there we had a great relationship and grew to be very close. Even after she left we kept in touch on a regular basis. I am so very sad for your family, she was a wonderful, energetic, sweet young lady and she will be missed very, very much by all who knew her.

Jessica has touched many lives including mine. While she attended the IYR I had the opportunity to get to know Jess. She was a very loving, caring, and intelligent young adult. She would always show me her poetry instead of having to "talk." That was her way of expressing her feelings at that time. Jess will be very missed and my sympathy goes out to all of the family at this time of sorrow.

We provided transportation for Jessica and found her charming and witty. For such a young woman, she had an incredible sense of empathy and also a great work ethic. She will be missed.

I wanted to let you know how much I loved Jessica. I am a nurse at State Hospital South and have worked with Jessica many times over the years. In fact, Jessica would call me almost weekly for someone to talk to. Please know that you are in my prayers at this very trying time and know that Jessica was well loved whether she realized it or not. Her cute smile and contagious laugh are things that I will always remember about her! Please know that there are many people sharing in your sorrow. Jessica will be missed by many!!!! God Bless you all!
