JESSE H. BURKE
SOLDOTNA, ALASKA -- Jesse Harry Burke, 73, of Idaho Falls,
died June 18, 2004, at the Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna,
Alaska.
He was born July 24, 1930, to Albert Leander “Lee”
Burke and Elvina Docina “Sena” Hansen Burke in Iona, Idaho.
He grew up and attended schools in Iona. He was raised by his older brothers
and sisters, as he lost his parents at an early age. He was the 13th child
in a family of 14 children. He served in the U. S. Navy during the 1950's.
He met and married Golda Rhoades Hines in 1961. He worked
for several ranchers in Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona and Idaho.
While in New Mexico and Arizona, he did a little gold prospecting. He worked
for several years in potatoes for Roger Brothers and Basic American.
Jesse and Golda had many happy years of marriage and spent
many summers in Island Park and the mountains fishing, camping and sight
seeing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, three sisters,
and a son.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26,
2004, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30p.m.
and Saturday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home
(273 N. Ridge).
Following the services, Military Rites will be performed
by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
