Jessa Lanette Bunnell Kopp, 73, of Ammon, passed away September 3, 2025, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.

Jessa was born on April 4, 1952, in Ammon, Idaho, to Jess Emery Bunnell and Carma Perry Bunnell. She grew up and attended schools in Ammon and graduated from Bonneville High School in about 1970.

After graduating from high school and working for a time, she married Edward Farrel Kopp in the Idaho Falls Temple. Ed and Jessa made their home in Idaho Falls for a number of years and then moved to Swan Valley, Idaho. Jessa had four children with with Edward Kopp: Travis, Shellie, Michael, & Lindsay.

Jessa was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed the beautiful and simple things in life.

Jessa is survived by her former husband, Edward; and two of her children, Michael and Lindsay; as well as three brothers, Paul, Lewis, Dean, and Don Bunnell.

For over 40 years, Jessa courageously suffered from the debilitating effects of Muscular Sclerosis.

She was preceded in death by two of her children, Travis and Shellie, who both died early in life after suffering for years from Cystic Fibrosis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Ammon 1st Ward chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3000 Central Avenue, Ammon, Idaho, with Bishop Mark Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:15 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
