IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jerry Ray Simpson Sr., 69, of Idaho Falls, died July 22, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 15, 1938, in Idaho Falls, to Ray Frank Simpson and Orpha Minerva Poulson Simpson. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He served as a Private in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a warehouseman for School District #91 from which he retired. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Jerry enjoyed reading in his younger years and loved cats.

Son: Duke L. Simpson, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Charles F. Simpson, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Tammy M. Simpson, Pocatello, ID
Son: Kelly Rhoades, Boise, ID
6 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joy Madsen.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the Fielding Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
