Jerry Tristan Smith

Jerry Tristan Smith, 45, of Idaho Falls passed away suddenly at his home on 3/20/21 with his partner of 26 years by his side. Jerry was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2017.

Jerry was born on August 2, 1975, at Harbor General Hospital in Torrance California. Jerry and his family moved to Sunnyvale, Ca. in 1983.

As a child, Jerry & his cousin were inseparable. Wherever his cousin was you were sure to find Jerry nearby. They were brothers for sure.

The family then moved to Ceres, California, in 1989. In 1993, the family moved to Modesto, California. Jerry went to Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, where he graduated in 1993. Jerry went on to study Early Childhood Development at Modesto Junior College from 1993 - 1994.

In 1994, Jerry met his life partner & soulmate Joe Severa. Jerry & Joe moved to Las Vegas in 2000. In 2003, they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. Jerry has been working very hard for the last four years to earn a bachelor’s degree in Business Entertainment Management. Jerry was only five months away from earning that degree when he passed.

Jerry enjoyed dancing, cheerleading, crafts, traveling/camping, party planning and family gatherings.

Jerry is survived by his parents, his grandparents, several aunties and uncles, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jerry is also survived by his longtime partner, Joe Severa, and his Idaho family and many friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by two of his grandfathers, his brother, and an auntie. Jerry's final resting place will be at Inglewood Park Cemetery 720 S Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
