Jerry L. Pancheri - 10/31/2002 Jerry L. Pancheri - 10/31/2002 JERRY L. PANCHERI HOWE, ID -- Jerry L. Pancheri, 66, of Howe, Idaho, died October 29, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1936 in Idaho Falls to Walter Peter Pancheri and Mae Gardner Pancheri. He grew up and attended Osgood Elementary and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He attended Ricks College then transferred to Utah State University where he graduated in History and Political Science. From 1957 to 1959, he served an LDS mission to Northern California. He married Marylyn Lee Metler June 15, 1960 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He has farmed and ranched in Osgood, Swan Valley, Ririe and Howe. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as a stake missionary, twice as a counselor in the bishopric, and later served as branch president in Howe. He was a Sunday School teacher at the time of his death. He loved to play Fast Pitch Softball and in 1995 was elected to the Idaho Hall of Fame for Fast Pitch Softball. He served on the school board in the Ririe and Butte school districts. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and grandchildren. Surviving are:Wife: Marylyn Pancheri, Howe, IDSon: Rick (Shaunna) Pancheri, Howe, IDSon: Rock (Lora) Pancheri, Howe, IDSon: Ryan (Barbara) Pancheri, Howe, IDSon: Rory (Janet) Pancheri, Howe, IDSon: Rod Pancheri, Howe, IDSon: Roman (Jan) Pancheri, Howe, IDDaughter: Raquel (Rod) Torgerson, Hamer, IDSon: Romero Pancheri, Howe, IDSister: Annette Mooney, Boise, IDSister: Gloria (Steve) Ludlow, Nephi, UT 24 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Odell Pancheri. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2002, at the Howe LDS Chapel, with President Don Callister officiating. The family will visit with friends at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
