Jerry Moore, 64, of Burley, passed away January 9, 2020, at Mini-Cassia Care Center.
Jerry was born June 20, 1955, in Georgetown, South Carolina, to Dolphie Mccoy Moore and Mary Emlyn Martin Moore. He grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, when he was 10 years old. He went on to graduate from Idaho Falls High School. After graduation, he traveled all over the nation for his career. He also had a daughter and a son, Journee and Luke.
Jerry was a Christian. As owner of Jerris Wayne’s Creations, he was very crafty; he made jewelry with ocean leather and was an inventor of many different things. He also enjoyed buying cars and traveling.
Jerry is survived by his step-father, Kay Nelson, of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings, Brenda (Ron) Lott, Cheryl Simons, Wanda Kelso, and Charles Moore, all of Idaho Falls, ID; children, Luke (Arta) and Journee (Micah), of North Carolina; and several grandchildren, Hana, Josiah, Naomi, and Norah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolphie and Mary, and a brother, Buddy Moore.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park.
