Jerry Jenkins

Jerry Ray Jenkins, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 18, 2010, at his home. He was born May 4, 1950, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Hawkins Jenkins and Athene Lott Jenkins. He attended schools in the area. Jerry participated in the Development Workshop for about 40 years and also in the Joshua Smith Foundation Program. He resided at Panorama Hills Living Center under the care of Becky Dean and Kristine & Michael Lords. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved attending Special Needs Adult Primary. He also enjoyed bowling, swimming, Special Olympics, and being a member of Explorer Post 559. Survivors are: Brother: Steve (Maxine) Jenkins Brother: Dean (Maryan) Jenkins Sister-in-law: Dorthy Jenkins, Iona, ID He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kent Jenkins; and a sister, Athene “Teena” Jenkins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Bishop Byard Cox officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
