J.J. HOLVERSON SYRACUSE, UT -- Jerry James “J.J.” Holverson, 37, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away April 11, 2010, in Syracuse, Utah. Jerry was born February 27, 1973, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Terry Lynn Holverson and Janice Arlene Farschon Holverson. He attended Skyline High School and played on the 1989 state championship football team. He graduated from high school in Arlington, Texas. He lived in Germany, Medford, Oregon, Leesville, Louisiana, and Madison, Tennessee, before moving back to Idaho Falls for a brief time. He moved to Arlington, Texas, then attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. He joined the U.S. Army and served at Ft. Lewis, Washington. He married Rebecca King on June 28, 1997, in Seattle, Washington. He worked for P.M. & Knowledge in the computer industry. At the time of his death, he was employed at Sungard Expert Solutions in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a member of the Syracuse, Utah National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and coaching his son in sporting activities. Survivors include: Wife: Rebecca Holverson, Syracuse, UT Son: Patrick Son: Aaron Son: Joseph Father: Terry (Margaret) Holverson, Idaho Falls, ID Mother: Janice (Charlie) Cole, Arlington, TX Brother: Brian Holverson, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Donald (Heidi) Steele, Pocatello, ID Sister: Teesha (Justin) Mitchell, Idaho Falls, ID Grandmother: Betty Newman, Medford, OR Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher Holverson; grandparents, Jiggs & Florence Holverson; and grandfather, Jim Newman.
