Jerry Dale Gibbons

Jerry Dale Gibbons, 88, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away at his home on December 27, 2023.

Jerry was born on October 31, 1935, in Lusk, Wyoming. He was one of 17 children born to Roy and Ivan Marie Gibbons (including two sets of twins). They later moved to Boise, Idaho, where Jerry played football and graduated from Boise High School.

Throughout his life, Jerry worked in the construction industry in several states, which included projects in the San Francisco Bay Area; the Idaho National Laboratory; and the construction of the first tram at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. In 2000, he retired with Ash Grove Cement where he managed the Idaho Falls cement plant for over 30 years.

Jerry was preceded in death by his two sons, Tommy and Todd Gibbons; step-son, Kurt Lott; and 15 of his 16 siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Gibbons of Idaho Falls, ID; daughters, Misty Gibbons of Idaho Falls, ID and Tammy Frisby of Boise, ID; sons, Terry and Tracy Gibbons of Fruitland, ID; daughter, Corinne Lott Hamman (Kurt) of Idaho Falls, ID; and sister, Barbara Mixon of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
