Jerry Kenneth Davis

Jerry Kenneth Davis, reunited with many of his loved ones in heaven on May 15, 2023.

Jerry was born on December 20, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Marjorie Miller Davis and Kenneth Davis. He would become the oldest of seven children and gain the nicknames "Number One" from his father as well as "Muscles" from his uncles.

He moved around a lot with his family as his father's job dictated, but he ended up back in Idaho Falls in time to graduate from Idaho Falls High School. His passion was building hot rods and doing smoky burn outs which earned him his new nickname "Smoke".  It's no surprise that he excelled in shop and art classes. He would say that he didn’t do well in his other classes, but in truth, he was too busy living his life to the fullest and working on his lifelong passions.

Jerry then went on to serve in the National Guard during the Vietnam War, which ended with him receiving a purple heart for his sacrifice. He never wanted special recognition for being a veteran, saying that he did what anyone should do. But to anyone close to him knew, he deserved every ounce of recognition he received - plus some.

As Jerry would say, he had many "phases" in life, but his most favorite phase was spent with his two daughters, being a doting "papa" to his grandkids, working in his shop, riding his motorcycles, and taking helicopter flight lessons. He never took a day for granted, never complained, and always lit up the room with his distinctive voice and beautiful baby blue eyes. His positive outlook, sense of humor, and quick wit were just a few of his best qualities.

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Marjorie Miller Davis and Kenneth Davis; his beautiful sister, Teresa Nowaskey;  brothers, Mike Davis and Brent Davis; and best friend "Toby dog".

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Stephanie Judge and Nikki Smith; loving son-in-law, Andrew Smith; cherished grandchildren, Lila and Jameson Judge; and his siblings, Christy Hoff, Gene Davis, and Curt Davis.
