Jerry D. Ballard - 09/03/2002 Jerry D. Ballard - 09/03/2002 JERRY D. BALLARD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jerry D. Ballard, 66, of Idaho Falls, died September 1, 2002, at Mallory House. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born May 24, 1936, at Idaho Falls, to Theodore William Ballard, Sr. and Edna Ackerman Ballard. He grew up in Idaho Falls, where he attended Emerson Elementary, O. E. Bell Jr. High, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also graduated from the University of Idaho. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U. S. Army. Except for his college years, he was a lifelong resident of Idaho Falls. He married Adrianne L. Sargis December 17, 1980, at Idaho Falls. He owned and operated the Idaho Falls Foundry with his brother, Ted. Adrianne died July 28, 2000. He was an avid golfer. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs. Surviving are:Daughter: Adrianne Goldsmith, Arlington, VADaughter: Emily Goldsmith, Phoenix, AZBrother: Ted [Sharron] Ballard, Jr., Idaho Falls, IDHe was preceded in death by his wife, Adrianne Ballard. Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2002, at the First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street, with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco officiating. The family will visit with friends following services on Thursday. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
