JERROLYN CRANDALL
AMMON, ID -- Jerrolyn “Jerrie” Parkinson Crandall, 68, of Ammon, passed away October 17, 2005, at her home of natural causes.
She was born October 26, 1936, at Rexburg, Idaho, to Joseph Maughan Parkinson and Norrine Ricks Parkinson. Jerrolyn spent her early years in Rexburg, then moved to Idaho Falls in her teen years, where she graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She then attended Brigham Young University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Jerrolyn married Harvey Leslie Crandall III August 24, 1960, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved to Ammon in 1964, where they have lived ever since. Jerrolyn spent her time as a homemaker, loving mother, and grandmother.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings over the years. Some of her favorite callings were family history and temple work. At the time of her death she was serving as an officiator in the Idaho Falls Temple. She started a family tradition of taking her 12 year old grandchildren to the temple to do Baptisms for the Dead, using family names. She was a supporter of BYU-Idaho and a member of the Presidents Club for over 20 years. Jerrolyn had particular love for animals and enjoyed caring for them. She loved going to the family cabin, quilting, gardening, cooking, and sewing. Jerrolyn was actively involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.
Surviving are her husband, Harvey L. Crandall of Ammon, ID, six children, Becky (Richie) Webb of Copley, OH; Laura (Mike) Norris, Shari (Kent) Oseen, Steve (Jennica) Crandall, and Robert (April) Crandall, all of Idaho Falls, ID; and Jennifer (Alex) Tavares of Tubarao, Brazil; two sisters, Roma Bishop of Pleasanton, CA, and Nadine Amiott of Oakley, ID; and 24 Grandchildren.
