Jerel Mcarthur

Jerel E. McArthur, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 1, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Jerel was born February 12, 1949, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Floyd E. McArthur and Hilda Dross McArthur. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School. Jerel served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Jerel worked as a potato warehouse foreman before retirement. He cared for his parents the last years of their lives. Jerel was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog. Jerel is survived by Daughter, Kelly (Nathan) McArthur Barber of Sugar City, ID; Stepdaughter, Christina Walbridge of Stacy, Minnesota; Brother, Ferel (Susan) McArthur of Ammon, ID; Brother Terrel (Alice) McArthur of Ammon, ID; Brother, Kevin McArthur of Salt Lake City, UT; Sister, Shawna (Clyde) Egbert of Kearns, UT; Sister, Tammy Hamilton of Idaho Falls, ID; 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Karen Lindsay and Valerie Noles. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Wilford Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Fremont County Veterans Group and the Idaho Honor Guard.
