Jerald "Jerry" Lee Prestidge

Jerald Lee Prestidge, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 17, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Jerry was born April 4, 1952, in American Falls, Idaho, to Walter Prestidge and Norma Lee Isom Prestidge. He attended Aberdeen Elementary, Oleary Jr. High, and graduated from Twin Falls High School. Jerry and his family moved around a lot between Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming, as he helped open and manage Big Boy and JB’s Restaurants. Later in life, Jerry worked as a general manager at his brother’s JB’s Restaurant in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He enjoyed working alongside his brother and took pride in his role in the family business.

Jerry had many passions. He loved spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, and treasure hunting with his metal detector. He enjoyed coin collecting, gambling, and watching westerns. Aside from his love for fishing and treasure hunting, Jerry had a passion for restoring his cherry red 1954 Ford F-150. He loved to share his stories about treasure hunts, fishing trips, and the good old days while spending time surrounded by those he loved in the family cabin in Island Park, Idaho. He was also known to dabble a bit in the stock market where he was diligent in keeping informed through a variety of media. He had a gambler’s heart to his core and always held on to the excitement and hope of scoring the big jackpot one day.

Jerry truly valued time spent with his family and friends and always had his loved ones in his thoughts. Everyone he met loved his great sense of humor, his generous heart, and his excitement for life. He will be truly missed!

Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Tiffiny (Karl) Peterson and Robin (Kyle Pittman) Anderson; his brother, Larry Prestidge; grandchildren, Hunter Anderson, Cordelia Peterson, Kolbin Pittman, and Marshall Peterson; nephews, Scott and Kyle; and niece, Marne.

He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Norma Prestidge.
