Jeffrey Yorg

Jeffrey Alfred Yorg, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 30, 2018, at his home. Jeff was born March 26, 1959, in Hawthorne, California, to George Yorg and Phyllis Solomon Yorg. He grew up and attended schools in California and graduated from Costa Mesa High School. He also attended Eastern Idaho Technical College and Idaho State University. On May 15, 1980, he married Jodi Lynn Pickl in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Little White Chapel. To this union was born a daughter, Sara Nicole, and step children, Serenity Rae Matthews and Koda Matthews. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church. Jeff enjoyed poetry, writing, art, painting, drawing and being creative. He loved his two grandsons, Shawn and Lucas Ceci, more than anything. Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Sara Yorg of Idaho Falls, and his two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Yorg and Phyllis Peterson, sister-in-law, Hilda Yorg, and a great niece, Mya Lily. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services.
