Jeffrey Ira Scroggin, 83, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away February 19, 2022, at his home.
Jeff was born October 1, 1938, in Sacramento, California, to Paul J. Scroggin and Grace Ruth Dixon Scroggin. He grew up in Sacramento where he graduated from McClatchy High School and attended Sacramento City College for Business. Jeff went on to have a very successful career as a Manufactures Representative for the Bath and Décor industry.
On June 19, 1960, he married Anita Birgitta Sernholt in Sacramento, California, at the Lutheran Church. Jeff and Anita lived primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Jeff is survived by his wife; two children, Debbie and her husband Glen, and Michael and his wife, Linda; four grandchildren, Justin, Jessica and her husband, Ty, Jacob, and Dustin; and two great grandchildren, Taylor and Lauren.
Jeff always had a love of driving. In his early retirement years, Jeff took Anita and their little dog on a multi-year tour of the United States, Canada, and Mexico via a motor home.
As a retirement job, Jeff became an accomplished professional limo and bus driver where he drove for the Chicago White Sox, The Canadian Olympics, and countless high school ski trips in Idaho. After his second retirement from professional driving, Jeff and Anita became floral delivery drivers for Floral Affairs in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
In Jeff’s twilight years, he became an avid reader and enjoyed walking the park and weekly trips to Rupes for a burger in Blackfoot, as well as taking care of the lawn and helping with the garden. He loved to be around family and loved seeing Lauren and Taylor.
The family would like to thank Brittany Merritt, Dr. B. Hammar, Dr. N.B. Adams, and Solace Hospice in Rigby, Idaho. You made his final days peaceful.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Grace Scroggin; and brother, Lee Scroggin.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
